Fancy making your own flashing bicycle light, or a radio, or a magic wand (that displays a message as you wave it), or a robot (that finds it way around a maze), or a xylophone, or an electronic dice, or an audio amplifier?  That?s what the pupils of the Watts Happening club are up to.

Watts Happening is the latest Penicuik High after school club, where pupils come every Thursday to build electronic projects.  All for the cost of £1.00 a week.  The club, run by Mr Anderson and Mr MacAndrew from the Design & Technology Department meet in Room 38 and is open to all, from complete beginners to those with an interest in electronics.

Start up funding was made possible by a grant from the Big Lottery Fund, a grant giving body of The National Lottery and provided by Awards for All Scotland.  This provided the initial set of project kits and the tooling required.  Awards for All Scotland award grants for people to take part in community activities, and projects that promote education.
