Malawi Evening

An Open Evening for Malawi was held in the School Assembly Hall on 11
October for anyone interested in finding out more about the Penicuik –
Thyolo partnership. Mrs Stewart delivered an illustrated talk on her
trip to Malawi and Fair Trade refreshments were offered. Visitors to
the school also took part in a demonstration of African dancing and
tasted nsima, a kind of porridge which is the staple food of most
Malawians. Proceeds of £120 went to the school’s Malawi fund.
