The Penicuik High School - Thyolo Secondary School Partnership Agreement

The partnership aims to:

1. Promote cultural exchanges: sharing cultural activities through creative arts.
2. Share curricular activities with a global dimension: Healthy Schools (PE), John Muir Trust Award, English Story-writing.
3. Share knowledge of Life Skills and HIV/AIDS, considering cultural activities in both countries.
4. Learn together by sharing knowledge through teacher:teacher and pupil:pupil interactions via email and penpal letters.
5. Initiate sustainable enterprise ventures: making and selling of Malawian items; holding dances and activities which say much of Malawian and Scottish society.
6. Enhance sporting activities by sharing local games.

1. Affirming the value of Malawian and Scottish people's skills and qualities.
2. Affirming that the people of Malawi and Scotland are their country's best resource.
3. Helping our young people find their own voice as citizens of Malawi and Scotland.
4. Offering long-term commitment to the partnership.
