The Penicuik High School - Thyolo Secondary School Partnership Agreement

The partnership aims to:
- Promote cultural exchanges: sharing cultural activities through creative arts.
- Share curricular activities with a global dimension: Healthy Schools (PE), John Muir Trust Award, English Story-writing.
- Share knowledge of Life Skills and HIV/AIDS, considering cultural activities in both countries.
- Learn together by sharing knowledge through teacher:teacher and pupil:pupil interactions via email and penpal letters.
- Initiate sustainable enterprise ventures: making and selling of Malawian items; holding dances and activities which say much of Malawian and Scottish society.
- Enhance sporting activities by sharing local games.
The partnership recognizes the importance of:
- Affirming the value of Malawian and Scottish people's skills and qualities.
- Affirming that the people of Malawi and Scotland are their country's best resource.
- Helping our young people find their own voice as citizens of Malawi and Scotland.
- Offering long-term commitment to the partnership.
