Future Meetings
Meetings are held in school at 7pm on Mondays. All parents are welcome to attend. Meeting dates for 2011-2012 are 5th September 2011, 10th October 2011 (AGM), 5th December 2011, 27th February 2012, 7th May 2012.
Background
Formed in 1988 the Parents' Association exists to encourage parents and carers to get actively involved with the school. We meet about six times a year to hear about developments and discuss school matters with the Head Teacher and other members of staff. You can find minutes of our meetings published on this website and in Penicuik Library. You are very welcome to attend, just to listen (without fear of being lined up for any jobs you don’t want), or to get more actively involved. We fundraise through our 50-50 club and by donations (see the separate leaflet if you’d like to join either scheme). In recent times the money raised has purchased equipment for the school and supported a range of social and charitable events. Sometimes we sit on panels which interview and appoint senior members of staff. We help to develop school policies by contributing to staff meetings and working groups. Chair of the PA is Bronwen Jackson who can be contacted via the school.
