Thus Penicuik retain the shield! Congratulations to all involved in another enjoyable and successful season of hockey. The awards for the most improved senior player of the season went to Stephen P., and for the most improved junior player of the season to Thomas K.
Congratulations to a number of our hockey players who have been selected for the East region team, and to one who has been selection for the Scotland U-16 squad.
Judo
Congratulations to one of our S5 pupils, JM, who did extremely well at the recent UK School Games held in Coventry, 24-26 August, winning a bronze medal in the Under-63 kg category.
Swimming

Congratulations to one of our S4 pupils who
did incredibly well at the recent UK School Games held in Coventry 24-26 August. She won two bronze medals in the 100 metres backstroke (she was first in her class) and in the 100 metres free.

Congratulations to a pupil in S5 on breaking the British Record for 200m Freestyle at the Dunedin Swimming Club meet at Glenrothes, and on achieving 7 personal bests at the same meeting, a fantastic achievement.
Table Tennis
- Congratulations to two of our pupils who have qualified to represent Edinburgh and the Lothians in the Scottish Schools U14 Tournament held in Perth on the 13th April 2008.
